The IX SPPCV congress took place in 29-31 October, this year in a virtual format, with the theme "Challenges in the treatment of spine pathology: in the individual and in the community".
Over the 3 days of the event, several topics related to the medical-surgical procedures associated with pathologies and dysfunctions of the spine were addressed, such as: spine trauma, degenerative pathologies, surgeries of deformities in the elderly, treatment of fractures of the sacrum, among others.
In addition to well-known speakers at national level, the congress also featured the participation of great international names in spine surgery, such as Dr. Michael Fehlings, who addressed the topic of “Cervical degenerative myelopathy: What's new?”.
As honorary members, we could not miss the opportunity to be present and support this event, witnessing an excellent programmatic content and having the opportunity to attend some communications that contributed to keep us abreast of this constant evolution that is medicine.
